AIF-BIN Studio & Tools

Terronex.dev ("we", "us", or "our") built the AIF-BIN Studio (including the ingestor, inspector, viewer, and related tools) with privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (or more importantly, do not collect), how we handle it, and your rights.

We are committed to local-first processing: your files and personal data stay on your device unless you explicitly choose otherwise. We do not build profiles, sell data, or train AI models on your content.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or store:

• The content of your files (PDFs, documents, images, etc.)
• Your original raw files or AIF-BIN files
• Any extracted text, tables, images, audio, or metadata from your files
• Your AI API keys after you enter them (they are stored locally on your device only)
• Your name, email, phone number, location, IP address, or any personal identifiers (unless you voluntarily provide them for support or account creation)

2. Information We Do Collect (and Why)

We collect only the minimum necessary to operate the app and improve it:

We do not use cookies, trackers, or fingerprinting for advertising or profiling.

3. How Files Are Processed

• Local Processing: All file ingestion, analysis, and AIF-BIN creation happen locally on your device.
• Cloud AI Mode (Optional): When you choose cloud AI mode (e.g., Google Gemini), only the content you explicitly send is transmitted to the third-party AI provider. We do not retain, log, or have access to that data.
• Local AI Mode: Local AI mode (Ollama, Llama, etc.) keeps everything offline — no data leaves your computer.
• No Retention: We never store, upload, or retain your files or their contents after processing.

4. Third-Party Services

We may integrate with the following services (all with minimal or no personal data collection):

• Google Gemini API — Cloud AI processing (if enabled by you)
• Stripe / Gumroad — Payment processing
• Error reporting service — Anonymized crash diagnostics

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You control your data:

• Access / Delete: Since we don't store your files, there is no central database to delete. You can delete AIF-BIN files from your device at any time.
• Opt out of analytics: Disable in app settings.
• Local-only mode: Recommended for sensitive files — turn off cloud AI in settings.
• Export originals: Use the inspector or export feature to retrieve embedded raw files.

Your Legal Rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable laws:

• Virginia (VCDPA): Right to access, correct, delete, and opt out.
• California (CCPA/CPRA): Right to know, delete, correct, and opt out.
• European Union (GDPR): Right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.

6. Data Retention

• Files: We do not retain your files. All processing is local or transient.
• Support communications: Retained for up to 3 years, then deleted.
• Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized; retained indefinitely for product improvement.
• Payment records: Retained as required by tax regulations (typically 7 years).

7. Children's Privacy

Our tools are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our product evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will notify users in-app or via email.
